PattysBreeding

Intro

The stud Pattys Connemaras is located in Lower-Saxony, may be the most horserelated part of Germany. Although most of the breeders living here, are breeding the famous Hanoverian, we specialized our stud in breeding a smaller seized pony race. We dreamed about a native breed, true to their specific type, but also able to "Do it All" ...
...AND! prove that great things come in small packages:)

What we were looking for was a well built little horse with the conformation to compete in all disciplines and to show successfull in-hand as well. It should be an adults horse as well as a childs and families one.

The first Connemarapony standing at Pattys was the wellknown stallion BENGT:
He not only won several in-hand first prizes on his own, but for us the most important fact is that his progeny, children- grandchildren and even his grand-grandchildren, won nearly countless amounts of awards in the last years- and until today his babies and their descendants are wellknown for their outstanding qualities, as well in the showring as in performance competitions. Not only in Germany, even far away in the USA he left his remarkable footsteps....

Long times we stand his Premiumstallion son Pattys Silverdun Velvet at stud and Bengt's grandsons Pattys Broadway Dancer as well as Pattys Veuve Clicquot are still with us. Dancer is sired by Bengt's son Pattys Benedict and also 3 out of our 5 resident broodmares are sired by our foundation stallion Bengt.

First son and long time standing at our stud, Premium Stallion Pattys Silverdun Velvet, not only won several first prizes in-hand, but also he placed as best Connemarastallion at the 4-weeks lasting stallions performance contest in 1996. He is sire of many premium/ first prize awarded foals and 2 years in a row sire of a first prize awarded Connemarafoal at the foalshow in Bad-Sooden/A. His little daughter P.Meredith, now belonging to Catherine Mack- USA, also became Allover Championfoal All Breeds Pony.

The fullbrother of Velvet, the also at our stud homebred Pattys Benedict, now belonging to Hohnhorst stud, is very successful as well:
He is the sire of 4 exported Connemaraponies to the USA and the latest news are that his daughter Hohnhorst Milaya and his son Hohnhorst Brannigan were very successful at the Region 3 Show in the USA:
